CV Job Matcher for LinkedIn (“the extension”) helps you compare your CV with job listings on LinkedIn. This policy explains what data the extension uses and where it goes.

Summary

• We do not operate our own servers and do not collect your data on our behalf.
• Your CV, settings, and match results are stored locally in your browser.
• If you enable AI matching, your CV text and job listing text are sent to the AI provider you choose, using your own API key.

Data stored on your device

The extension may store the following in your browser (local storage):

• CV text (if you upload a PDF, paste text, or choose “Remember CV in browser”)
• Extension settings (match threshold, AI provider, model, optional API key)
• Your latest job matching results (job titles, companies, links, scores)

This data stays on your device unless you clear it or uninstall the extension.

Data sent to third parties

When AI matching is enabled and you provide an API key, the extension sends your CV text and job listing details (title, company, location, snippet) to the AI provider you select in Settings, for example: OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral, or a custom endpoint you enter.

Those requests use your API key and are subject to that provider’s privacy policy and terms. We do not receive or store that traffic on any server we control.

LinkedIn

On LinkedIn job pages, the extension reads job information visible on the page to perform matching and shows a panel on the page. It does not change your LinkedIn account or post on your behalf.

Permissions

• Storage — save settings, optional CV, and results locally.
• Host access (LinkedIn) — run only on LinkedIn job pages and read job listing data there.
• Host access (AI APIs) — send matching requests to your chosen AI provider when AI is enabled.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
